Forces HIIT

High Intensity interval training

HIIT( high-intensity interval training) is a challenging workout.

It takes your cardio workout to another level, as you push yourself past your comfort zone.

At Forces Community Fitness you’ll work up a sweat fast, working at a very intense level and then backing off for a slower recovery period, followed by another round of high intensity.

You’ll work harder than you do when you do a typical cardio workout, but you’ll do it in spurts of 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Then you’ll have a chance to recover for about the same amount of time or longer.

Forces HIIT is available to all fitness abilities. With Daz and Jim's unique HIIT classes, there are a variety of workouts which can suit everyone. One of our favorites is the Tabata workout.

Tabata training was discovered by Japanese scientist Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo.

Tabata consists of a 4 minute workout, working hard for 20 seconds then resting for 10 seconds, completing 8 rounds.

The advantage to the Tabata technique is that any exercise can be used in the 20 seconds.

You may find yourself completing Squats, Press ups, Sit Ups, including the introduction of equipment, such as kettlebells, bringing a more Strength based workout.

HIIT not only provides the benefits of longer-duration exercise in a much shorter amount of time, but also has some unique health benefits including;

  • Burning a lot of calories in a short time,
  • Inducing a higher metabolic rate for hours after HIIT exercise,
  • Fat loss
  • Increasing muscle mass
  • Improving oxygen consumption
  • Reducing heart rate and blood pressure
  • Reducing blood sugar

So get booked into a class and increase your results with an outdoor HIIT session today.

Nothing is more important than your health
